This dialog is shown when you click on Add or Edit from within the Report Style Dialog.
This editor allows you to adjust the way your projects are displayed, printed and exported for the specified report, by changing Paragraph Styles and Element Styles.
A paragraph style specifies text formatting properties for a part of the document, such as a dialogue cue or dialogue text. These styles are similar to the styles found in most word processors, and indeed StoryLines exports the style definitions when generating word-processor format files (currently OpenOffice only).
An element style specifies one or more property relating to the way StoryLines lays out the document. An element style usually allows you to switch a particular feature on or off, such as whether to show section headings. Click on the checkbox to the left of each item to toggle the item on or off. Sometimes an element style has further information and its own editor that you can invoke using the Edit button. For a list of supported element styles, please see Report Element Styles.
